CASEY CUP WINNERS 2010

This Saturday saw the play-offs for the Casey Cup here in Park Lane. The U11s and U12s combined to form five teams : All Blacks, Leinster,Munster,Connaught and Ulster who had to play each other in a league style play-off. Weather was a bit unkind today and with a few games still to go the heavy rain stopped play. The team with the highest number of tries scored were the winners of this year's Casey Cup and surprise surprise it turned out to be the All Blacks. All teams played well despite the wet and slippery conditions. After nearly three hours of rugby and with very tired and wet players and coaches retiring to the clubhouse, the catering staff provided a very welcome warm meal and refreshments.
